it's a dry day!

it's a Dry day!

It almost took twenty four hours,
To meet the paradise-like-peaceful sleep,
Eyes closed, entered the world of dreams,
But,
Oh! It’s a dry day, no dreams were available.

Things do not always work as per your whims and fancies,
Depressed, and burdened with a bad day,
I went to a comedy show to release the tension,
But,
Oh! It’s a dry day, no laughs were shared.

A peddler at the station sold me red roses,
Filled with love and emotions,
I went in search of a companion to be with her,
But,
Oh! It’s a dry day, my lover was missing.

Then, heart-broken, I remembered one place,
 God’s shelter,
With full faith that things will be fine,
But,
Oh! It’s a dry day, even god was on leave.

I am too shy to ask for it

Just stepped out from the prison of slavery,
Which is like everyday struggle to set myself free,
But yes those bucks make my mind fall apart instantly.

The world outside the entry gate,
Is any day seductive to make you fall for it,
Those buried thought blurbs,  reincarnated to unknown identity,
As if making you lose all burden you holded for long.

In the crowd at bus stand with strange look of belongingness,
Ah! There I see you in long curly hair,
Messing the thoughts with pink band in hand,
Enveloping the care, bottled in the red nail paint,
Rolling the heaven in that white glorious paper.

I forced my eyes to talk for my zipped lips,
Because lending me one drag of heaven won’t cost her much,
But my fingers, silent, talking among themselves,
To gesture you, that I am too shy to ask for the roll.

A million dollar smile, then made it all ok,
To gesture the approval on my companionship to heaven,
Coming close you made it too warm for me to just have it,
Because it’s the only chance to be with you tonight.

The stress that smoke released, and love that filled that space,
Well, my urge for a drag to break free,
I got over it, handcuffed with your love.
Your face in that smoke was now my heaven,
Unconvinced by the fact that,
one drag can keep me close to you,
I am ready to be too shy to ask for it.

when you know everything

I can see it taking turns,
deceiving every landmark
to meet the unknown destination.

I know everything. I know everything.

I yelled your name, called you to return,
but you deceived my voice
to hear the unheard applaud.

i know everything. I know everything.

I swear on god you will regret your action
but this time,
god deceived me showing you the light of tomorrow.

I know everything. I know everything.

Now, i am following your foot steps,
deep inside, believed, we will  make it,
deceiving every taboo of the marathon
to live the pleasures of it.

I knew it. I knew it.

Golden swoop

You must have thought of stealing gold? 6.45 pm, road next to FSI building is the place for action. People swoops to abscond gold back to their place. The car head lights in traffic seemed like golden rocks ham-handed by night commuters. But all that glitter is not gold. And I think you won’t mind if I steal some.

Hurry! Last 5 minutes, hurry!

We can’t escape our memories of last five minutes; while writing examinations, accelerating for the first lecture and punching clock to be at office. Today, last five minutes got me a roller coaster ride. I and my cab mates were running late by five minutes. Then, one of my cab mate from his morning slumber told the driver,” kheench lo bhaiya bas paanch minute reh gae hai”. Then, the adventure begins. Cab rushed into the fog, splitting it apart. It geared and shut his eyes to every traffic light, to every vehicle. It was just the astronaut and his space shuttle, which landed grounds at 293 seconds. Those five minutes, we were just hoping to reach office safely. It was a death either way. I think, none of us would mind if we are added with five more minutes to our twenty four hours.
