stranger. strange. stare.

The guy in his early 40’s on phone,’ please call the client and ask, if he is coming for the case. He was not there on the last hearing as well. And if he doesn't reply just drop him a message. And don’t forget to update the list of all the filed cases for the month.’ Next was the announcement,’ next station is New Delhi. Please keep left while de-boarding the train ‘. I was trying to take a small nap. But suddenly I heard,’ please call the client and ask, if he….’the same words I heard earlier, from the same guy. He repeated the same conversation, again. Without any error. A complete photocopy of his earlier conversation. It puzzled me. I stared at him from the corner of my eyes. He was busy recalling or reassuring himself that the thing he told the person on phone was right. He was completely taken away by the anxiety and restlessness. The work that had gulped him completely. It had made him an alien among the human masses. Such is a life. A strange one that makes you meet many strangers. Every now and then.  To demonstrate and give a teaching, of how to love and live your life to the fullest.

un-touching story

Two childhood buddies. Grew up together. But gave space to each other, since their childhood. Which was enough to keep them apart, when they became adults. Now people question their space, when they see the wide gap between these two front teeth.

A solitude nail on the wall

Someone might have nailed it,
To put up his evidence of accomplishment.
But, on second thought, would have left it,
Maybe, he wanted to explore some other place,
That would grab the eyeballs of the on-lookers.

Since then, it’s there, though, standing tall,
Among the crowded and successful nails on the wall.
Waiting for his own day, that will make him be the real star.
It believed, the patience always pays, and in this hope
With all pride, gathering all confidence, without any complaints,
He looked up and straight up the sky, to pray god,
To give him that day as soon as possible.

Finally, the day was here.
To applaud his struggle and to present him
The crown of victory.
A big crack on the wall, that made it fall,
From a great height to the greatest of stature.
It got three more nails to network with,
And a bigger and a classier wall with
A spotlight on its head.
A world renowned museum,
With a million dollar painting on the nail.

It celebrated its joie de vivre with his newly-found friends,
With regular spectators looking and appreciating the painting, indirectly to it.
Now, he is a rich nail, shining bright, heads high in pride.
A nail of worth.

Finally, nailed it.

A Movie, That I Will Direct Will Be Something Like Something…

Title of the movie, I don’ know. I haven’t figured it out yet. A rock band, a fruit, a folk dress of Andalusia, a xylophone, a spaceship, extinct species, sound of sharks, the process of making wines, a nursery rhyme, a popular painting, a word from dictionary, billionaire’s son’s name or just a cap of a designer pen, could be the basis to decide a name of the movie. Or it could be one not mentioned in the list.

Cut to, the casting. Woah! Excited. Quite a few names are already popping up in my mind. But. But it is legends versus the aspiring and struggling actors. The stars of silver screen versus the stars in their peer group. My own favorites versus the opportunists.

But I want to make a super hit flick. One that will break all records. Completes all silver, golden, diamond, titanium jubilees et al. That’s for sure.

Now comes the indispensable part of the movie. How it will be? What will be the plot or the story? And yes, I have numerous options for it too. Some record breaking and award winning ideas. Some truly novel ideas. Some autobiographies. Remakes. Historical identities. Science fictions. Action-horror-comedy-thriller, not necessarily in the same order. And yes the blogs, the real life stories garnished with some masala, tadka, latkas and jhatkas. Or simply an online script-writing contest.

 I think that sounds good.

Tan-tan-la-la-hey-hey-ho-ho. No. I have not got insane. But just thinking about the music. The melodious tracks. The lyrics. The rhythms. And of course, striking the right chord. Because, I believe, it’s the music that an audience enjoys in a movie the most. It’s a way to reach to their pocket. Don’t take me wrong. I meant, the driving force to pull them to the theatres. And let me tell you one secret . Because I’m little nervous. Music is also my back-up plan. A hit music.

Actually, it gave me another idea. If my movie, god forbids, doesn’t work then I can make a music video. Using the same music for a music video. Recycling in a real sense. As we know that music is a universal language. So it will be a musical film.

I have suddenly started feeling busy. I am already up for my second project.

Now, I don’t know how to end this blog. Should I say THE END. Or TO BE CONTINUED… ( with other aspects of the movie like location, time duration, sets et al). Or A Movie, That I Will Direct Will Be Something Like Something 2…

Yeh sab jaise bachpan ka khel lagta hai.

Yeh sab jaise bachpan ka khel lagta hai.

Hastey they, gungunatay they,
Befikar,
Doston ke sang zindagi ke mazay loot te they.

Gali- gali me apni sharaton ke charchay they,
Aur har shikayat me, maa ke maar ke hissaydaar they,
Par, fir bahar khelte they,
Aur gharon ke sheeshay fir fateh karte they.

Badon ki har baat pe bhrosa kar baithtay they,
Aur fir doston ko wahi rai dia karte they,
Fir kuch baaton me hum bhi unse kum ni they,
Kyunki bachha hona , bachhon ka khel kaha hai.

Kahaniyaan, aur baatien khoob banana jantay they,
Mirch –masala daal ke,
kabhie hasaya aur kabhie daraya karte they
fir jab raat ko neend na aati,
to kuch kahaniyaan maa se sunke,
sapno me kho jaya karte they.

Ye sab jaise bachpan ka khel lagta hai,
Kyunki jo baday karte hai,
Wo hum bachhay kahan socha kartey they.
Sab se pyaar, sab pe bharosa, sab se dosti,
Hasi-mazaak aur thahakay baazi,
Rona, dhona aur jhooth –mooth ke naatak,
Khana-peena aur mazay karna.
Ab baday bhi shayad yahi kartay hain,
Par wo sab khud k liye kartay hain.

Bachpan shayad kisi ko yaad nahi,
Kynki jawaani ki kahaniyaan to,
Ab hum sab,
Akhbaaro aur tu news channel me dekh hi lete hai.

Shayad bachpan ke khel hi achhay they,
Khushiyaan zyada aur aansoo kam they.

it's a dry day!

it's a Dry day!

It almost took twenty four hours,
To meet the paradise-like-peaceful sleep,
Eyes closed, entered the world of dreams,
But,
Oh! It’s a dry day, no dreams were available.

Things do not always work as per your whims and fancies,
Depressed, and burdened with a bad day,
I went to a comedy show to release the tension,
But,
Oh! It’s a dry day, no laughs were shared.

A peddler at the station sold me red roses,
Filled with love and emotions,
I went in search of a companion to be with her,
But,
Oh! It’s a dry day, my lover was missing.

Then, heart-broken, I remembered one place,
 God’s shelter,
With full faith that things will be fine,
But,
Oh! It’s a dry day, even god was on leave.

I am too shy to ask for it

Just stepped out from the prison of slavery,
Which is like everyday struggle to set myself free,
But yes those bucks make my mind fall apart instantly.

The world outside the entry gate,
Is any day seductive to make you fall for it,
Those buried thought blurbs,  reincarnated to unknown identity,
As if making you lose all burden you holded for long.

In the crowd at bus stand with strange look of belongingness,
Ah! There I see you in long curly hair,
Messing the thoughts with pink band in hand,
Enveloping the care, bottled in the red nail paint,
Rolling the heaven in that white glorious paper.

I forced my eyes to talk for my zipped lips,
Because lending me one drag of heaven won’t cost her much,
But my fingers, silent, talking among themselves,
To gesture you, that I am too shy to ask for the roll.

A million dollar smile, then made it all ok,
To gesture the approval on my companionship to heaven,
Coming close you made it too warm for me to just have it,
Because it’s the only chance to be with you tonight.

The stress that smoke released, and love that filled that space,
Well, my urge for a drag to break free,
I got over it, handcuffed with your love.
Your face in that smoke was now my heaven,
Unconvinced by the fact that,
one drag can keep me close to you,
I am ready to be too shy to ask for it.

when you know everything

I can see it taking turns,
deceiving every landmark
to meet the unknown destination.

I know everything. I know everything.

I yelled your name, called you to return,
but you deceived my voice
to hear the unheard applaud.

i know everything. I know everything.

I swear on god you will regret your action
but this time,
god deceived me showing you the light of tomorrow.

I know everything. I know everything.

Now, i am following your foot steps,
deep inside, believed, we will  make it,
deceiving every taboo of the marathon
to live the pleasures of it.

I knew it. I knew it.

Golden swoop

You must have thought of stealing gold? 6.45 pm, road next to FSI building is the place for action. People swoops to abscond gold back to their place. The car head lights in traffic seemed like golden rocks ham-handed by night commuters. But all that glitter is not gold. And I think you won’t mind if I steal some.

Hurry! Last 5 minutes, hurry!

We can’t escape our memories of last five minutes; while writing examinations, accelerating for the first lecture and punching clock to be at office. Today, last five minutes got me a roller coaster ride. I and my cab mates were running late by five minutes. Then, one of my cab mate from his morning slumber told the driver,” kheench lo bhaiya bas paanch minute reh gae hai”. Then, the adventure begins. Cab rushed into the fog, splitting it apart. It geared and shut his eyes to every traffic light, to every vehicle. It was just the astronaut and his space shuttle, which landed grounds at 293 seconds. Those five minutes, we were just hoping to reach office safely. It was a death either way. I think, none of us would mind if we are added with five more minutes to our twenty four hours.

show must go on!!!

SHOW MUST GO ON,

NO MATTER WHATSOEVER HAPPENS,

LOOK AT IT BUT MOVE ON.

STILL THE THINGS ARE BEHIND CURTAIN,

STILL THE WORDS ARE UNSPOKEN,

STILL THE ANGER IS BURNING,

FOR ALL THAT THINGS THAT MADE THINGS FALL APART.

STILL M WAITING TO HAVE MY SAY,

STILL M AWAKE TO SEE YOUR FACE,

STILL M TRUSTING THE TRUST FADED AWAY,

FOR ALL THAT SILENCE M STILL TO CONQUER.

STILL OTHERS ARE THERE FOR YOUR WAY,

AND THE SWORD THAT WOUNDED MORE EVERYDAY,

NOBODY'S PERFECT AND SO THE FATE

SHOW MUST GO ON,

NO MATTER WHATSOEVER HAPPENS,

LOOK AT IT BUT MOVE ON.

PAINS MAY COME, PAINS MAY GO

WOUNDS OF PAST ARE PRESENT FOR SURE,

IT WILL GO OFF AS SOON AS TIME SHOW THE POWER,

I HAVE PUSHED IT FOR A LONG,

TO BRING IT BACK TO ITS SHELF

BUT NOW I GROW STRONG,

AND LEAVE EVERYTHING BEHIND....

TO MOVE ON!!!!!

want to live up...

Noise in my mind and the sound outside,
not letting me rest and think for a while,
what should I do with the mess inside,
should hit the bottle or bend the rules for a mile...

A the moth hour of eve, I decide to leave the grieve,
for the maimed, limp and bashful spirit,
I organize a party to make it audacious, complacent and veritable...

I ask for nothing but my lion's share,
for i am all set to screw my courage,
to spend all night, to go nuts about a place in the sun,
giving wide berth to fear, to wipe the slate clean...

I think in medias res of that wrapped mesmerizing place,
not a deja vu but a sight for sore eyes,
as I come to life dancing on the sea and singing to the tune,
with no love lost for healing drops and flowing wines......

W to live up that way, with no retrospect and pain,
the heart that scared to shrug off fear which was vain....

"time to move on?"

"time to move on?"

its not a story nor a poem , m gonna write tonight,

its not the emotions nor the feelings , m goona open up tonight,

its not about what's on my mind , nor about the words , m gonna describe tonight,

its yet another decision ,m confused and not even willing to put aside,

the fear of losing and joy of gaining, is yet another thing that hit me all the time,

m not that brave to bear it all but not coward enough to face it all,

i did everything that was in my hand, but was not able to hold you for that long..

i don't show my worth but myself for you, but when it was you, i expected you out of you,

now i ask myself every time i sit beside me,

is it a time to move on , or still wait for sometime,

though i know everything, but hope for some miracle,

as god inside me is still justified and true,

i wish the eyes to get awakened and wisdom to take its space,

as time is near for something to happen..

i think and still wonder

until my intution commands me to work for others,

for the position they hold and endeavor they make,

so i take a decision blissfully for not to pretend,

i am still the same as i was earlier, it was just a phase that made me enter asylum...

so i got the answer full and final...

i was not meant for you, but for the things i do,

i don't wish to be stagnant as change it would never do,

i decide for me for what to do,

"its time to move on" as of what i really want it now...

not just the words but a call from inside

don't wait for life , and do what you want to be.....
